This photo has such a simple subject, but at the same time it's interesting because it is taken from an unusual perspective. The photo was taken by Andrew Scharlott and he describes the photo as a "lizard inside a frosted-glass light fixture outside a hotel in Kauai, Hawaii."

I have officially declared Marc Jacob's Daisy perfume as my favorite. It is light and flowery and perfect for both day and night. I use it year round and I never tire of it. Not to mention, the bottle is adorable. Look for yourself!

It is available almost anywhere and is pretty budget friendly (and is a fantastic investment, you'll love it)

Avedon

This photograph was taken by one of my favorite photographers, Richard Avedon. This is one of his most famous photographs taken in 1955, of the model Dovima in a Dior dress and her companions.

Pizzetta 211

On Saturday, I went to one of my favorite restaurants, Pizzetta 211. It is the best restaurant in the neighborhood, located on 23rd Avenue and California. It is really small, with only a few tables inside and outside the restaurant; however they have a bar which is really fun to sit at because you can watch them make the pizzas! You can check out their weekly menu on their website.
Their pizzas are unique and especially tasty. :) The pizzas are thin crusted and have really creative toppings. Over the weekend I shared delicious braised fennel and bacon pizza, with walnuts, plain fennel (along with the braised fennel), and I think goat cheese (can't exactly remember : /).
They also have starters. As usual I had the field greens salad, which is always on the menu, but they also make one other that changes everyday.
Along with starters they also have AMAZING desserts. They have the best flourless chocolate cake topped with fresh whipped cream and, fortunately, it is on the menu everyday ; ). Like the starters, they have one additional dessert that changes everyday. On Saturday, I had a citrus olive oil cake with a cara cara orange compote and, of course, whipped cream.
At the restaurant, we did not finish all our food, so I took it home and ate it for my Sunday morning breakfast (with a cup of coffee :)). Who doesn't like pizza and cake to start your day?

The Face of Half Dome
By Ansel Adams

Ansel Adams is one of my favorite nature photographers. In my house we have a copy of this print, and every time I see it I am in awe. For christmas a few years ago I received this book, of Ansel Adams photos. Often I grab the book from the shelf and take the time to go through page by page. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

And we are back!

Readers, I am very sorry for the lack of posts in the last week. I have been having some major issues with my computer. I had to send it away, and when it came back everything was gone; luckily I backup! Since getting it back on Friday, I have been reloading my computer, and finally today I was able to access my photos (YEAH!)!

The post below is our Sunday black+white photo. Because this week has already been unusual, I thought it would be ok if the photo was a few days late.
In honor of being able to access/upload my photos for the first time since the re-image, today's post is photos from my library :) .
